Welcome to Cipher Nota ("we," "our," "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy by providing encryption services with user-managed keys for cloud-stored data. Our Usage Policy and Terms of Service explain how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our services ("Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use our Services.


Personal Information

When you create an account, we only collect the necessary information to provide you with a robust service. Your information includes:

  • Provided Name (Optional)
  • Provided recovery email (Optional)
  • IP Address. (To prevent DDOS attacks on our servers)
  • Billing information (e.g., credit card details, wallet address) (For accounting and recovery)

During the provision of storage services, we utilise below technologies:

  • Tracking URLs

Usage Data

We only collect minimal information that your browser sends when you use our Service or when you access the Service by or through a mobile device. This data may include:

  • Your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address
  • Access time.

Modes of communication

We only send you account-related information i.e contract expiry reminders, and password reset notifications except if you have subscribed for our deals notifications.

Pricing

We may at any time change the fees for our services. If you are in a contract with us the price changes will not affect you until the contract has expired.

Contract expiry and termination

Payments, Invoices and Refunds

When you create an account, we only collect the necessary information to provide you with a robust service. Your information includes:

  • We accept the below Crypto payments and payments are processed in-house.
    • BTC
    • XMR
    • USDT/USCD
  • We will send you the new contract for your service renewal 14 days prior to your email address.
  • There are no refunds offered. These sales are final and the services will remain active for the remainder of the service cycle you have paid for.

Cancellations

We reserve the right to cancel, suspend, or terminate your service for any reason and without prior notice. If we suspend a service due to policy violations we will attempt with our best effort to reach you at the email you registered with to resolve the issue. If we are unable to reach you or you fail to respond within a ‘reasonable’ amount of time (5+ days) we have the right to cancel and terminate your account. Additionally, in severe cases, we reserve the right to terminate an account without a prior suspension period.

Service Provisioning

Once your contract is finalized, your cloud storage services will be configured automatically and you will receive an email informing the service activation.

Customer support

We try our best to answer support inquiries within 24 hours. However, our support services are unmanaged unless otherwise specified. All the support tickets are answered based on the priority assigned to them. There is no support response time SLA is offered.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for the content that is available under your account with us. If you allow users to share or distribute text, images, media or other files, it is your responsibility to moderate the content so that your account does not violate these or other terms.

Prohibited Use

Storing, sharing or making available any images, video, or other media that depicts minors sexually (nude or non-nude) is strictly forbidden. Content shared by you are not visible to us hence any complaints regarding prohibited media sharing or storing will be the sole responsibility of the user. The above clause includes (but not limited to) hosting, streams or sharing proprietary videos, pictures, music, ebooks or other media that you do not have permission to share, etc.

Resource Abuse

This is defined as any activity, intentional or otherwise, that consumes an abundance of shared system resources for a prolonged period that causes a negative impact in the quality of the service for other customers.

If we determine that a customer may be unfairly abusing shared resources we will reach out to you for a resolution, or in severe cases, may either throttle their access to these resources or temporarily suspend service until we are able to come to a conclusion.

Jurisdiction, law applicable

Your account data is subject to the rights that you may have under applicable laws in your country (including under the Canadian Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act 2000, the Japanese Act on the Protection of Personal Information 2003, and the GDPR).

None of Your Files are stored in, or made available from, the United States of America.
